Ranging from tender and tank engines including G16s, H16s and S15s constructed in LSWR days, through to King Arthurs Lord Nelsons, Schools and later Merchant Navy and Light Pacifics in SR days. There followed the building of some light Pacifics and the subsequent rebuilding of both types of Pacifics in BR days. Quite a number of locomotives of all three eras were preserved and may be seen at various locations throughout the country. .
