60 Mins. Narration. Twenty years following the end of steam, Merchant Navy 'Clan Line' , 34067 'Tangmere' and 34092 'City of Wells' are seen on special trains some of which were far away from their normal areas. Then, back to 1967 with most footage concentrating on the last steam main line from Waterloo to Bournemouth. There was also a trip across the Solent to the Isle of Wight to see that Adams O2 Class 0-4-4Tanks which lasted to the end of stam on the Island. Motive power seen included Urie and Maunsell S15s, Maunsell N & U Moguls, Bulleid's Q1s, USA 0-6-0 dock tanks, BR Standard Class 4s, 5s, Class 3 and 4 Tanks. LMS Black Fives, Ivatt Tanks and on railtour specials A4 No. 60024 'Kingfisher' and A2 No. 60532 'Blue Peter'.
