70 Mins. Colour. Narration. Starting at Carlisle station and then Kingmoor shed with Black Fives and 8Fs, there was a move to Upperby and onwards to Tebay with passing goods and parcels trains. There follows a move southwards to Stoke- on-Trent. Returning to the North West, a visit to Patricroft shed was followed by a variety of 8F workings on the Chequerbent incline together with Bolton and Rose Grove shed at the end of steam along with Todmorden and Copy Pit. Specials at the end of steam were recorded and included Britannia 70013 on the very last day in August 1968 along with 2 Black Fives and 70013 on trains. Following the end of BR steam, visits were made to industrial sites with ex-BR locos including an ex- GWR pannier in the Rhondda Valey and other locations. A visit to France was made to see 141Rs around Calais and Boulogue before moving onwards to Spain, Portugal and Germany.
