62 Mins. Mostly colour. Narration. Features the West Coast Main Line from Tebay and Shap Summit to Carlisle, Beattock Summit and then via Carstairs to Glasgow. Starting at Tebay with the banking operations, its onwards to Penrith via Keswick, Bassenthwaite and Arnside before arriving at Carlisle Citadel and Carlisle Kingmoor depot. Motive power seen included Ivatt 2-6-2Ts, Britannias, Clans, Black Fives, Coronations with some ex LNER locomotives from Edinburgh. Travelling northwards along the Waverley route to Riddings and the Langholm branch, A4s and A2s were seen on Waverley Route special trains. Travelling further northwards, a visit was made to Dumfries on the ex GSWR main line and the former 'Port Road' to Stranraer. Scenes at Dumfries included No. 4472 and at Beattock Summit locomotives that included Clan Pacifics and A4 'Kingfisher'. Finally, there was a desent to Carstairs, Carluke, Motherwell and into the Suburbs of Glasgow and onwards to Wemyss and Gourock.
