60 Mins. Mostly colour. Narration. Covered the line to Crewe as far as Willaston via Whitchurch, the Shrewsbury to Gobowen line and the Gobowen to Oswestry and Blodwell line. Visits were made to the signal boxes at Shrewsbury, Leaton, Whittington and Gobowen and observing the passing railways scene with both steam and diesel traction during the early 1960s and 1970s. At Gobowen, there is steam archive footage along the route south to Llanymynech and then a look at the Shropshire and Montgomery with the last steam railtour. There is also extensive lineside and cab views of the diesel hauled stone trains from Gobowen to Blodwell Quarry.
