60 Mins. Colour. Narration. A further look at the West Coast Main Line. This volume concentrates on the activity from Dillicar water troughs and the climb over the summit. Activity at Tebay is shown along with banking engines of Fowler, Stanier 2-6-4 tanks and BR Standard Class 4s. The varied traffic along the main line included passenger, freight and ballast workings. Filmed between 1964 and 1967 the motive power ranged from Coronation Pacifics, Jubilees, Royal Scots and Patriots, Black Fives, 8Fs, Standard 9Fs and Britannia Pacifics.
