60 Mins. Mainly colour. Narration. Filmed betwen 1960 and 1965. Covers the GWR main line out of Paddington, through Old Oak Common to High Wycombe, then, from Southall to Reading with scenes on the Marlow Branch. Reading saw much activity from the North and West of England main lines and inter-regional traffic from the Southern. Oxford saw the last Castle workings from Worcester, inter-regional trains changed motive power there and it also served as a freight centre. Motive power seen included Halls, Castles, Manors and Southern pacifics.
