This recording was made with a professional standard analogue tape recorder described as transportable. Although the equipment was the best available at the time, it would be considered somewhat primitive by modern standards and it did not have the benefit of noise reduction systems or low noise, high output recroding tape. The power supply was provided by a DC/AC converter form high capacity lead/acid batteries. Track 1. At Newton Abbot Station. Track 2. 'King John' climbing Stoneycombe to Dainton Tunnel, Track 3. At the Newton Abbot end of Dainton Tunnel. Track 4. At the Totnes end of Dainton Tunnel. Track 5. Inside Tingley Signal Box. Track 6. The slip coach just detached at Saunderton Summit. Track 7. The slip coach stops and is taken to Princes Risborough Station. Track 8. A morning at Princes Risborough Staion. Track 9. 'King George 11' leaving Princes Risborough with an up express. Track 10. A Cheltenham- London express climbs towards Sapperton Tunnel. Track 11. A freight train climbs past Abergavveny Junction Station. Track 12. A passenger train climbs past Abergavveny Junction Staion. Track 13. A freight train and 'City of Truro' with a special train near Ruabon. Track 14. 'City of Truro' with a special train at Crumlin. Track 15. A 'Dukedog' leaving Bow Street with a train for Aberystwyth. Track 16. At Exeter St davids Station. Track 17. 'King Edward V11' with the up 'Inter City' at Princes Risborough. Track 18.
