What information do we collect?
The information we collect by personal contact at an exhibition, by telephone, by letter and by e-mail. These may include details which you knowingly provide us with when making a purchase particularly by Credit or Debit card, via our on-line shop, over the telephone, in postal and e-mail correspondence (do not include Credit or Debit card details in both postal and e-mail correspondence) such as name. postal address, card details and telephone number etc.
What we use the information for
We require this information to transact an order:
1). Via our on-line shop,
2). At an exhibition when making a Credit or Debit card sale,
3) Over the telephone for mail order purposes, and
4). To make appropriate changes to the website to improve the browsing experience.
How this information is protected
For sensitive information employed with on-line shopping we use a third party secure server. For all other information involving payment by Credit or Debit card, whether at an exhibition or by letter or telephone, the said details are restricted to the payment slip recording the transaction transmitted by the Credit and Debit card machine which also provides both customer and merchant copies. If for some reason those details are temporarily recorded in manuscript, the said details would then be shredded immediately after completion of the transaction.
For sales by mail order, details of transactions including the customers name, address and telephone number are not stored electronically. All such information is stored in paper form for a period of six years for taxation purposes as required by HM Revenue and Customs and then systematically destroyed by shredding.
We do not sell, trade or otherwise transfer to third parties or agents for data mining or marketing purposes. We may only release your information when it is thought appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies or protect our rights, property or safety.
